## Setting Up Your NutriChef Water Dispenser
### Unboxing and Assembly
1. Unpack the box: Carefully remove all contents from the carton, including the water dispenser, drip tray, and any additional accessories.
2. Place the base: Choose a stable, flat surface where you want to place the dispenser. Position the square base on the surface.
3. Insert the reservoir: Align the water reservoir with the opening at the top of the base. Gently slide it into place until it clicks into position.
4. Attach the drip tray: Place the drip tray underneath the dispenser spout. It should fit snugly into place.
### Filling the Reservoir
1. Remove the lid: Locate the lid on the top of the water reservoir. Lift it off and set it aside.
2. Fill with water: Use filtered or distilled water for optimal performance. Fill the reservoir to the desired level, but do not exceed the maximum fill line.
3. Replace the lid: Once the reservoir is full, place the lid back on securely.
### Installing the Filters
1. Remove the filter covers: On the back of the dispenser, locate the two filter covers. Press down on each cover and pull it out.
2. Unwrap the filters: Carefully unwrap the two activated carbon filters included with the dispenser.
3. Insert the filters: Push the filters into the filter housing until they click into place. Ensure they are fully inserted.
4. Replace the filter covers: Align the filter covers with their respective slots and press them back into place.
### Priming the Dispenser
1. Connect to a power source: Plug the dispenser into a standard electrical outlet.
2. Turn on the dispenser: Press the power button on the front of the dispenser. The indicator light should illuminate.
3. Dispense water: Press the cold or hot water button to dispense a small amount of water. This will remove any air from the system.
4. Repeat: Continue dispensing water for a few minutes until the water runs clear. This will ensure the filters are fully primed.
### Using the Dispenser
1. Select temperature: Press the cold or hot water button to choose the desired temperature for your beverage.
2. Press the lever: Place a cup or glass under the spout and gently press the lever forward to dispense water.
3. Release the lever: Once the desired amount of water is dispensed, release the lever to stop the flow.
4. Child safety lock: For safety, the hot water lever features a child safety lock. To unlock, press the small button on the top of the lever and pull it down simultaneously.
### Maintenance
1. Cleaning the reservoir: Empty the water reservoir and wash it thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry completely before refilling.
2. Changing the filters: Replace the activated carbon filters every 3-6 months for optimal performance.
3. Descaling the dispenser: If the dispenser shows signs of scale buildup, descale it using a solution of white vinegar and water. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
4. Troubleshooting: If you encounter any issues with your water dispenser, refer to the user manual for troubleshooting tips.
### Tips
– Use filtered or distilled water to prevent impurities from clogging the filters.
– Regularly clean the drip tray to prevent bacteria growth.
– Avoid placing the dispenser in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
– If you are going away for an extended period, empty the water reservoir and unplug the dispenser.
