## How to Deep Clean Your Fridge Water Dispenser
Your fridge’s water dispenser is a convenient way to access clean, cold water. But over time, mineral deposits, bacteria, and other contaminants can build up in the dispenser, making the water less safe and less palatable.
If you notice that your fridge’s water dispenser is not dispensing water as well as it used to, or if the water tastes strange, it’s time to give it a deep clean.
Here’s how to do it:
Materials you’ll need:
A bucket of warm water
A cup of white vinegar
A soft cloth or sponge
A toothbrush or small brush
A toothpick or cotton swab
Instructions:
1. Unplug the fridge. This is important to prevent electric shock.
2. Remove the water filter. If your fridge has a water filter, remove it and throw it away. You’ll need to replace it with a new one after you’re finished cleaning the dispenser.
3. Fill a bucket with warm water and vinegar. Mix 1 cup of white vinegar into a bucket of warm water.
4. Soak the dispenser parts in the vinegar solution. Remove the dispenser nozzle and any other removable parts, and soak them in the vinegar solution for at least 30 minutes.
5. Scrub the dispenser parts with a soft cloth or sponge. Use a soft cloth or sponge to scrub away any mineral deposits or other contaminants from the dispenser parts. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.
6. Use a toothbrush or small brush to clean the inside of the dispenser nozzle. A toothbrush or small brush can be used to clean the inside of the dispenser nozzle. Be sure to remove any mineral deposits or other contaminants.
7. Use a toothpick or cotton swab to clean the small openings in the dispenser nozzle. A toothpick or cotton swab can be used to clean the small openings in the dispenser nozzle. Be sure to remove any mineral deposits or other contaminants.
8. Rinse the dispenser parts with clean water. Rinse the dispenser parts thoroughly with clean water to remove any vinegar residue.
9. Reassemble the dispenser. Reassemble the dispenser and replace the water filter.
10. Plug the fridge back in. Plug the fridge back in and run a few cups of water through the dispenser to flush out any remaining vinegar residue.
