## How to Make a Temporary Kitchen Sink
If you’re remodeling your kitchen or your sink is broken, you may need to create a temporary kitchen sink. This is a quick and easy project that can be completed in a few hours.
### Materials
– 5-gallon bucket
– 2×4 lumber
– Plywood
– Screws
– Drill
– Jigsaw
– PVC pipe
– PVC elbow
– PVC cap
– Faucet
– Water supply line
– Drain line
### Instructions
1. Cut the 2×4 lumber into two pieces that are 18 inches long and two pieces that are 12 inches long. These pieces will form the frame of your temporary sink.
2. Screw the 2×4 lumber together to form a rectangle. The 18-inch pieces should be on the long sides and the 12-inch pieces should be on the short sides.
3. Cut a piece of plywood to fit inside the frame. The plywood should be 18 inches by 12 inches.
4. Screw the plywood to the frame.
5. Cut a hole in the center of the plywood for the faucet. The hole should be large enough to fit the faucet snugly.
6. Insert the faucet into the hole and secure it with the washers and nuts that came with the faucet.
7. Connect the water supply line to the faucet.
8. Cut a hole in the side of the bucket for the drain line. The hole should be large enough to fit the drain line snugly.
9. Insert the drain line into the hole and secure it with a hose clamp.
10. Place the bucket under the temporary sink and connect the drain line to the bucket.
Your temporary kitchen sink is now complete! You can use it to wash dishes, rinse fruits and vegetables, and fill pots and pans with water.
### Tips
– You can use any type of bucket for your temporary sink, but a 5-gallon bucket is a good size.
– If you don’t have any 2×4 lumber, you can use 1×4 lumber or even 1×2 lumber. Just make sure that the frame is sturdy enough to support the weight of the water.
– You can use any type of plywood for your temporary sink. Just make sure that the plywood is thick enough to support the weight of the water.
– If you don’t have a jigsaw, you can use a hand saw to cut the plywood. Just be sure to make clean, straight cuts.
– If you don’t have any PVC pipe, you can use a garden hose. Just be sure to use a hose clamp to secure the hose to the bucket.
– If you don’t have a faucet, you can use a pitcher to fill the temporary sink with water. Just be sure to use a clean pitcher and to wash your hands before using the water.
